Select committee: European Affairs Committee

Recommendation 1

1st Report - Citizens’ Rights Published 23 Jul 2021 Paragraph 24
Recommendation (the committee's words)
It remains a matter of regret to us that the Parties did not address the onward free movement rights of British citizens in the Withdrawal Agreement or the TCA. In our view, this issue is best addressed via international cooperation. Looking to the future therefore, we call on the Government to raise the issue with the EU through the institutional arrangements introduced by the Withdrawal Agreement or the TCA, as appropriate.
