We have concerns about waste crime.
Conclusion
We have concerns about waste crime. Some witnesses suggested that the illegal disposal of waste outside of regulated facilities may mean methane emissions from the sector are significantly higher than official figures. We were not convinced that the Government or Environment Agency have sufficient grip of this issue.
