Recommendation
The Government should build on engagement with farmers pioneering these approaches and build an evidence base of what works. The Government should pay close attention to emerging research around the carbon cycle in agriculture and ensure that considerations of both biodiversity and climate impacts are taken into account in agricultural policy.
