Conclusion
A diverse set of skills and people is key to striking the right balance on AI. We advocate expanded systems of secondments from industry, academia and civil society to support the work of officials— with appropriate guardrails as set out in Chapter 3. We also urge the Government to appoint a balanced cadre of advisers to the AI Safety Institute with expertise beyond security, including ethicists and social scientists .
