Recommendation 8

The Government should establish a new Future News innovation catalyst scheme. The objective should be to facilitate technology-driven business transformation to help participants improve their long-term financial sustainability. While the Government should provide the funding, the scheme should be delivered independently. It should learn from the successes and shortcomings of the previous pilot. The number of recipients should be small to ensure the available funding can make a meaningful difference. Some grants should be match funded by recipients to ensure value for money and participant buy-in.
