Conclusion
While we were grateful for the oral evidence from of Skills England, the Committee are concerned that they lack the necessary oversight to tackle the construction skills crisis. Skills England were indeed able to provide much of the necessary data on construction skills, but we were disappointed to learn of the extremely limited nature of their remit, which seems to limit their ability to take responsibility for and develop solutions. 118
