The Department acknowledged, however, that there remains much to do to create better, more consistent homes and family experiences for our Armed Forces, and that it will take a decade to create a qualitatively better situation. Following the buy-back of 36,000 houses from Annington Homes, the estate is just under 50,000 houses.
