Conclusion
On the basis of a report by the Comptroller and Auditor General, we took evidence from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Department of Health and Social Care (the Department), NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE&I), Public Health England (PHE) and the former Chair of the Vaccine Taskforce, on the government’s preparations for potential COVID-19 vaccines.2 The evidence session took place on the 11 January, our report is based on the evidence that we took at the time.
