Recommendation
In order for clauses 4–6 to represent a proportionate interference with human rights and freedoms, the Government must ensure that places are only prohibited if they are areas of particular defence or other national security sensitivity. The Government must also ensure that reasonable authorisation is granted for protests to take place in the vicinity of “prohibited places”.
