Our inquiry has not focused on intellectual property rights, or the rights of performers. The issues which witnesses have raised clearly merit further investigation, and could require specific measures going beyond the scope of this inquiry. It is important for the UK to protect its rich creative industries and those who contribute to them, and to safeguard performers’ human rights as well as their livelihoods. (Conclusion, Paragraph 53)
