Deferred
As outlined in paragraphs 36 to 37, we will carefully monitor the impact of the Crown Court broadcasting changes we introduced in the summer of 2022 before deciding whether to make any further interventions. We may use the aforementioned call for evidence to gather stakeholders’ views on expanding the current broadcasting regime and, if so, where this would be best targeted. We would consider this evidence alongside the conclusions and recommendation made in the JSC’s open justice report.
