Recommendation 39

We recommend that DWP report on the decisions which led to some people receiving inflated State Pension forecasts, what it has learned from this and the actions it will take to prevent a repetition. The report should also set out how many people were affected by the error, its plans for compensation and 68 how it will communicate these to affected individuals. In its response to this report the department should set out a clear timetable for completing these actions. (Recommendation, Paragraph 144)
