The success of Connect to Work will depend on how effectively it is integrated with wider local systems. We are encouraged to see that the government recognises the importance of this approach. One of the most effective ways of supporting this integration in practice is robust triaging at the point of entry, helping to ensure participants are guided towards the most appropriate support, and experience a more joined-up system of employment assistance. This will require close collaboration between government departments to ensure local authorities have the joined-up support they need to put in place a comprehensive offer of employment support.
