Recommendation
The Government must amend the wayleave regime for installing charging infrastructure to ensure that that regime does not act as a barrier to roll-out.
Government Response Summary
The government partially accepts the principle, agreeing that wayleaves can be a barrier. They have launched a Land Rights and Consents project to explore these issues and gather evidence but are not yet in a position to prescribe specific solutions or amend the regime.
