Recommendation
The government should commission an urgent review of the new GDS, to report no later than the September sitting of Parliament. The review should examine how GDS can set policies, coordinate effectively, and hold individual departments and public bodies to account for their 52 delivery against specified digital transformation metrics and outcomes. These should be designed to ensure that digital transformation is done with the highest possible levels of public consent and trust. (Recommendation, Paragraph 60)
