135. Victim Navigators play a crucial role in supporting victims of modern slavery throughout the criminal justice process. They provide victims with practical and emotional support, help them to understand the legal process, and advocate on their behalf. Victim Navigators also work closely with investigation teams to help build evidential cases and ensure that victims are treated with dignity and respect. 136. We recognise the important role that Victim Navigators play, and we are committed to ensuring that they have the resources and training they need to carry out their work effectively. The Government continues to work with Victim Support to improve the provision of Victim Navigator services across the country.
