Conclusion
An organisational culture in which challenge was apparently resented and in which bad news was not escalated appropriately until it was too late lay at the heart of many of the ONS’s problems. This appears to have been addressed by the senior leadership which has been proactive in communicating not only good news, but also ongoing challenges, with us and with the wider statistics community. We welcome this and expect it to persist as the organisation returns to ‘business as usual’. (Conclusion, Paragraph 63) The UKSA Board
