Conclusion
We are concerned that potentially extremely vulnerable residents in receipt of unregulated support services do not currently benefit from the protection of regulation by the Care Quality Commission. We are encouraged by the Government’s stated commitment to improving standards in supported housing, but it is impossible to say from the few details provided so far whether the proposals will go far enough.
