Conclusion
We welcome the Secretary of State’s confirmation that the statutory right of a patient to choose where they receive treatment will be retained in the forthcoming legislation. We welcome the Secretary of State’s commitment to this and look forward to seeing provisions in the Bill to maintain and enhance patient outcomes and to retain the patient’s right to receive treatment outside the area served by their local ICS.
