Recommendation 7

The Committee considers that the current framework of media regulation was designed for an era in which PSBs were far more dominant forces in the media landscape, and that developments such as the proliferation of platforms, the merging of traditional and social media, and the emerging implications of generative AI, will require a new approach to media regulation.
