Full decision

Ms A complained about the care and treatment she received between November 2022 and January 2023, following her ingestion of foreign bodies.

The assessment found that the response had been delayed and it did not appear to have been responded to under the concerns process. The Ombudsman therefore sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to respond to the complaint under the concerns process, apologise and offer a payment of £250 in recognition of the delayed response. The Health Board agreed to take this action within 2 months.
