Full decision

Mr X complained about Swansea Council’s decision to grant planning permission for a change of use for a neighbouring property. In respect of the Council’s response to his complaint, Mr X said that it ignored most of his complaint and specific policy issues and that it was inadequate, incomplete, and unsatisfactory.

The Ombudsman found that the Council’s complaint response did not sufficiently address all of the issues Mr X had included in his complaint submission.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to provide a further full written complaint response to Mr X within twenty working days.
