Cause of concern: The service hasn’t done enough since our last inspection to make sure staff have access to gender-appropriate facilities. Access to welfare and hygiene facilities at incidents has been limited, and staff don’t have access to gender-appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment.
Recommendation: Within 28 days the service should provide an action plan that details robust and resilient arrangements for the provision of welfare and hygiene facilities for firefighters attending emergency incidents.
