Summary

The review identified inadequate police response to prior domestic abuse, a failure by practitioners to link alcohol misuse with domestic abuse risks, and missed opportunities in health settings to identify concerns. There was also a general lack of awareness among professionals and employers regarding domestic abuse indicators and support.
