1. The service should develop the activity provision to help ensure everyone has the opportunity to experience meaningful days. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: "I can choose to have an active life and participate in a range of recreational, social, creative, physical and learning activities every day, both indoors and outdoors." (HSCS 1.25).

2. The service should improve the staff team’s awareness of the HSCS and how these inform the standards of care and support people experience. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: "I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes." (HSCS 3.14).1. To support people’s wellbeing, the provider should ensure the garden, is tidy and developed into a welcoming, usable space for people. This should include, but not limited to designing the garden in collaboration with people to reflect interests and support needs. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: "If I live in a care home, I can use a private garden." (HSCS 5.25).

1. A service improvement plan should be developed to ensure that there is clear identification and then focus on making improvements to the service provision. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I benefit from a culture of continuous improvement, with the organisation having robust and transparent quality assurance processes' (HSCS 4.19).

1. The service should implement effective care planning and risk assessments to effectively demonstrate how all residents’ individual care and support needs and personal preferences are being met. This should include clear record keeping, evidence of ongoing monitoring and show how this is being regularly evaluated. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘My personal plan (sometimes referred to as a care plan) is right for me because it sets out how my needs will be met, as well as my wishes and choices’ (HSCS 1.15).
