Recommendation 1

1. Improvement was needed to widen the scope of risk assessment in the outdoor area. The service should adopt a measured and robust approach to assessing risk to ensure children are kept safe from potential harm. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘My environment is secure and safe’ (HSCS 5.17).
