Recommendation 1

1. The childminder should ensure the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during personal care routines. This will help minimise the risk of infection and promote good hygiene practices in line with current guidance. This would contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (HSCS 4.11).
