Requirement 1

1. By 27 August 2026, the provider must ensure the service is led and managed in a manner that results in service users' health, safety, and wellbeing needs being met. To do this, the provider must, at a minimum: a) Ensure that the quality of service users' care is assessed by knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate staff in leadership roles using a range of methods. This may include, but is not limited to, observation of service users' care experiences, observation of staff practice and communication, seeking service user and staff views, and review of care documentation. b) Ensure that where quality assurance processes identify areas for improvement, leaders take appropriate action to make any improvements to service users' care. c) Ensure that quality assurance processes are used to identify any further staff training or support that is necessary to ensure service users' health, safety, and wellbeing needs are met. d) ensure that appropriate notifications are1. By 27 August 2026, provider must ensure that safer staffing recruitment and selection procedures have been followed to safeguard people who use the service and meet legal requirements. To do this, the provider must, at a minimum: a) Ensure they have followed good practice guidance for safer recruitment at all times. b) Ensure staff required to be registered with professional bodies are appropriately registered. c) Ensure all staff have received their Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) certificate prior to commencing employment. This is to comply with Regulation 9(1) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: I am confident that people who support and care for me have been appropriately and safely recruited.’ (HSCS 4.24).

The service will be provided to adults and older people in their home and in the community.

Where the support is provided from more than one address the service must keep the Care Inspectorate informed of any changes to the addresses from which the service is provided.

The service will be provided by two staff teams located in Aberfeldy and Alyth.
