1. The manager should ensure that all relevant accidents and incidents are notified to the care Inspectorate, a requirement of a registered service. The following guidance should be referred to: notifications must be submitted in line with "Records that all registered services (except childminding) must keep and guidance on notification reporting". This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice’ (HSCS 4.11).

1. The manager should ensure people’s personal plans comprehensively reflect each individuals agreed care needs, with a specific focus around medical and health needs. This includes, but is not limited to how someone manages their diabetes, how a diagnoses of dementia impacts their everyday lives, and what some triggers maybe for someone who presents stress an distress behaviours and the tried and tested techniques staff have tried to support the person. This is to ensure the care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state that “My personal plan (sometimes referred to as a care plan) is right for me because it sets out how my needs will be met, as well as my wishes and choices” (HSCS 1.15).
