Requirements & recommendations
1. To ensure children and young people’s needs are fully met, effective systems of communication should be established across the service so that all staff have a clear understanding of young people’s needs, and any changes to their circumstances. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that, 'I am supported and cared for sensitively by people who anticipate issues and are aware of and plan for any known vulnerability or frailty' (HSCS 3.18).
2. To ensure children and young people are safe, the service should review the training needs of staff, and provide all staff with the necessary training to carry out their roles in a timely way after they start working with the service. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that, 'I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (HSCS 4.11).
Conditions of registration
To provide a care service to a maximum of 3 young people with Learning disability and/or Autism.
The service can care for one named young person who is over 21 years named in variation dated 19 March 2024 until 31 March 2025.
Manager's supernumerary time (or the person acting in their absence): 100%.
The provider will comply with the action plan as agreed with the Care Inspectorate at registration. The action plan must be displayed along with the Certificate of registration. Any proposed change to the action plan must be agreed with the Care Inspectorate.
