1. By 31 December 2026, to ensure children’s health, welfare and safety are met, the provider must deliver a well-managed service with clear leadership and accountability. To achieve this, the provider must: Ensure leaders, including those covering in the service are skilled in supporting staff and have appropriate knowledge and skills to provide effective leadership. This is in order to comply with Regulation 4 (1)(a) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I use a service and organisation that are well led and managed' (HSCS 4.23).

To achieve this, the provider must: a) Identify and address all risks through effective risk assessment processes, including infection prevention and control. b) Use self-evaluation to develop an improvement plan, involving the views of staff, families and children. c) Implement procedures for consistently auditing and monitoring the quality of the service. This is in order to comply with Regulation 4 (1)(a) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'My environment is safe and secure' (HSCS 5.17); and 'I1. To do this, at a minimum, the provider must ensure: a) Personal plans reflect children’s current needs and clearly outline how these will be met, and are developed in partnership with families and children (where appropriate). b) Strategies to support children are clear and regularly reviewed to ensure informed and evidence-based assessments can be made. c) There is a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities in relation to child protection, and that policies and procedures are effectively implemented. This must include alerting appropriate agencies to concerns in a timely manner to protect children. d) Procedures for managing children’s medication and medical needs are regularly reviewed and updated in line with best practice. These should be clearly embedded in everyday practice and used to drive continuous improvement, reflecting the shared high aspirations for the service. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS), which state that: 'I can be meaningfully involved in how the organisations that support and care for me work and develop' (HSCS 4.6); and ‘I use a service and organisation that are well led and managed’ (HSCS 4.23).
1. The service should continue to review sleep arrangements and procedures to ensure all children were supported in line with safe sleep guidance. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (HSCS 4.11); and 'My care and support is provided in a planned and safe way, including if there is an emergency or unexpected event' (HSCS 4.14).

1. To provide a day care of children service to a maximum of 20 children at any one time aged from 3 months to not yet of an age to attend primary school.

Under 2s - 1:3;2 to under 3s - 1:5;3 and over - 1:8 if the children attend more than 4 hours per day, or 1:10 if the children attend for less than 4 hours per day.
