1. From receipt of this report, the provider must notify the Care Inspectorate about incidents as detailed in the document 'Children and young people's care services: Guidance on records you must keep and notifications you must make' (Care Inspectorate, March 2025). This is to comply with The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 - Regulation 4(1)(a) - Welfare of users. This also takes into account the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘I benefit from different organisations working together and sharing information about me promptly where appropriate and I understand how my privacy and confidentiality are respected’ (HSCS 4.18).
2. By 29 June 2026 the provider must further develop oversight of significant events within the service to promote the safety and wellbeing of young people. To do this, the provider must, at a minimum, a) Ensure there is regular oversight of any significant events within the home to identify any themes, patterns and areas for staff development. This is to comply with Regulation 3 and Regulation 4(1)(a) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/ 210). This is to ensure that the quality of care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice (HSCS 4.11) and ‘I benefit from a culture of continuous improvement, with the organisation having robust and transparent q3. By 29 June the provider must review their care planning and risk assessment processes in order to support young people’s wellbeing, outcomes and choices. To do this, the provider must, at a minimum: a) Ensure that information contained within risk assessments and care plans is up-to- date and relevant to current circumstances b) Ensure that goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound (SMART). These should include young people’s words, and clearly describe the support required to achieve these. c) Implement effective quality assurance measures to review content, track progress and take action as required. Conditions of registration
To provide a care service to a maximum of 6 children or young people as follows:
The Cottage can accommodate no more than 2 children or young people at any one time. Each stay should be no more than 30 consecutive days. One named young person as detailed in the variation dated 13 July 2026 may be cared for beyond the 30day limit.
The House can accommodate no more than 4 children or young people at any one time. Each stay should be no more than 90 consecutive days. One named young person as detailed in the variation dated 13 July 2026 may be cared for beyond the 90day limit.
