1. To maximise people’s wellbeing and health outcomes, the provider should ensure that staff receive tailored training and are equipped with the relevant knowledge, values, and skills to support individuals living with disabilities, including those with life limiting conditions and end of life care needs. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, can reflect on their practice and follow the professional and organisational codes’ (HSCS 3.14).
Conditions of registration
To provide a service to adults and older adults who may have disabilities which include life limiting conditions and end of life care needs living in their own homes and in the community.
The support will be provided by 1 staff team based in Edinburgh.
The provider shall inform service users and their representatives that the care service is registered with the Care Inspectorate and shall ensure that they are made aware of the name of the registered service with its contact details as it appears on this certificate.
