1. The childminder should ensure that all medication to be administered is provided in its original container and accompanied by written parental consent. Following these procedures would have ensured children's health and safety, and supported compliance with current guidance. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'Any treatment or intervention that I experience is safe and effective’ (HSCS 1.24).

Strengthening policies related to medication and the safe use of social media platforms would further support children's safety, wellbeing, and rights.
