1. To support the privacy, health and wellbeing of children and staff, the manager/provider should ensure that nappy changing arrangements follow good practice guidance. This should include, but is not limited to, providing appropriate changing facilities. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'The premises have been adapted, equipped and furnished to meet my needs and wishes.' (HSCS 5.18) and 'My environment is secure and safe' (HSCS 5.19). This is to ensure infection control practices are consistent with the NHS Scotland & HPS Scotland document, Infection Prevention and Control in Childcare Settings (Day Care and Childminding Settings); and Care Inspectorate document, Nappy changing for early learning and childcare settings (excluding childminders)
