1. To support people's health and wellbeing, the provider should ensure appropriate health screening is in place for everyone. In particular, the provider should ensure the right equipment is available to carry out a malnutrition universal screening tool assessment or arrange for people to attend another resource to use the necessary equipment. The provider should ensure results are recorded accurately and fully. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I am supported to make informed lifestyle choices affecting my health and wellbeing, and I am helped to use relevant screening and healthcare services' (HSCS 1.28); and 'I am supported and cared for sensitively by people who anticipate issues and are aware of and plan for any known vulnerability or frailty' (HSCS 3.18).

2. To promote people's independence, the provider should ensure people are being supported according to their planned care and support. Specifically, the provider should ensure people who have been assessed as being capable of making their own meals, are encouraged and supported by staff to do so. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'If appropriate, I can choose to make my own meals, snacks and drinks, with support if I need it, and can choose to grow, cook and eat my own food where possible' (HSCS 1.38); and 'People have time to support and care for me and to speak with me' (HSCS 3.16).

1. To support people's dignity and respect, the provider should ensure people's human rights are protected. Specifically, that all personal records, including all supporting documents, such as daily entry records, are stored securely. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'My human rights are protected and promoted and I experience no discrimination' (HSCS 1.2).
