Requirements & recommendations
1. To support children's wellbeing and ensure they experience environments that are safe, clean and hygienic, the provider should take action to address all identified maintenance issues timely. Where prompt action can not be taken, maintenance issues should be fully considered as part of the service development plan with any agreed actions and time scales clearly documented. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'My environment is secure and safe' (HSCS 5.17).
Conditions of registration
Number(s) and Age(s) of person(s) to whom service may be provided:
1. To provide a care service to a maximum of 50 children as follows:
15 children 2 to 3 years only
35 children 3 years to those not yet attending primary school.
Any other conditions unique to the service:
2. The care service will operate term time only.
3. Staffing ratios as stated in the National Care Standards - Early Education and Childcare up to the age of 16 (Appendix A) must be maintained at all times. A minimum of two adults must be present at all times.
