Recommendation 1

1. To consistently ensure people's health and wellbeing, the provider should implement systems which ensure people's health needs are monitored effectively, and information relating to health needs is easily accessible and communicated to staff. This to ensure care and support is consistent with Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state: 'My care and support is provided in a planned and safe way, including if there is an emergency or unexpected event' (HSCS ).

Recommendation 2

1. To promote a culture of continuous improvement, the service analyse findings of audits to identify themes and trends. Records should clearly evidence how this informs a dynamic service improvement plan. This to ensure care and support is consistent with Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state: “I benefit from a culture of continuous improvement, with the organisation having robust and transparent quality assurance processes” (HSCS 4.19).

Recommendation 3

1. To ensure staffing arrangements are person-centred and lead to positive outcomes, the provider should provide regular opportunity for feedback from people and/or their representatives as part of their staffing assessment. Feedback gathered should be used to influence how staff are deployed. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state: “My needs are met by the right number of people” HSCS 3.15 and My care and support is consistent and stable because people work well together HSCS 3.19.
