1. By 31 August 2026, to ensure staff have the right skills and knowledge to meet people's assessed needs the provider must at a minimum: (a) identify the skills and knowledge needed to support each person's health and wellbeing. (b) ensure all staff have received the necessary training to support people's assessed care and support needs. (c) ensure all staff are competent in the skills and knowledge needed to support people's assessed care and support needs. (d) ensure staffing arrangements across the week are checked so that all people are supported by staff with the right skills and knowledge to promote their wellbeing. This is in order to comply with section 8(1)(1)(a) of the Health and Care (Staffing)(Scotland) act 2019. 1. To support positive outcomes for people experiencing care, the management team should use the recently undertaken quality assurance exercise to development an improvement plan. This should focus on those elements that affect the care and support people receive. The improvement plan should follow SMART principles to ensure it is achievable and has a positive impact on people's health and wellbeing. This is to ensure care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state: I benefit from a culture of continuous improvement, with the organisation having robust and transparent quality assurance processes. (HSCS 4.19).
Conditions of registration
The service will be provided to adults over the age of 50 years who are living in their own home and who have physical and/or mental health support needs.
The support will be provided by 1 staff team.
