1. To support children's wellbeing and keep them safe, the service should review their administration of medication policy and procedures, to ensure they are following best practice guidance 'Management of Medication in Day care and Childminding Services'. This should include, but not limited to, written consent from parent permission to administer medication, ensuring forms accurately reflect the medication needs of children. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'Any treatment or intervention that I experience is safe and effective.’ (HSCS 1.24).
