1. The service should continue to develop a variety of suitable activities for residents and in particular, to encourage discussion and engagement of male residents in developing the activities programme. T his is to ensure my care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘I can choose to have an active life and participate in a range of recreational, social, creative, physical and learning activities every day, both indoors and outdoors'. (HSCS 1.25)

1. The provider should ensure that staff were supported in their role through effective and regular meetings with their management team. This should include 1:1 meetings and annual performance appraisals. This is to ensure care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that; ‘I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes'. (HSCS 3.14)

1. The provider needs to consider how they can better support staff in remote and rural locations to access required training to ensure staff have the necessary knowledge and skills appropriate for their roles and to ensure delivery of care and support follows good practice guidance and is safe. This is to ensure that care and support are consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state that: ‘I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes'. (HSCS 3.14)
