1. To ensure the safe administration of medication and good practice guidance is being followed, the provider should ensure, staff regularly evaluate the effectiveness of "as required" medication and take appropriate action if the medication is not having the desired effect.

This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that:

'Any treatment or intervention that I experience is safe and effective.' (HSCS 1.24); and 'I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on practice and follow their professional and organisational codes.' (HSCS 3.14).

1. To promote people's wellbeing they should have access to a well maintained and accessible outdoor area. The provider should tidy up the garden house and make sure outdoor furniture is comfortable and well-maintained. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy and well maintained premises, furnishings and equipment.' (HSCS 5.24); and 'If I live in a care home, I can use a private garden.' (HSCS 5.23).

1. To ensure people are getting the right care at the right time, people's reviews should be person centred and cover all areas within the care plan. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which states that: 'I am fully involved in developing and reviewing my personal plan, which is always available to me.' (HSCS 2.17).
