1. To help ensure children experience a clean and well maintained service, infection prevention and control measures should be improved. This should include, but not limited to, regular cleaning of spaces and ensuring there are enough resources to support effective handwashing. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which states that: 'I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy and well maintained premises, furnishings and equipment' (HSCS 5.22).
Conditions of registration
To provide a care service to a maximum of 44 children currently attending primary school and secondary school year one and two of whom no more than five are attending secondary school. Five children registered to start school in August can attend the service during the summer prior to starting school.
During the operating times the service will have the exclusive use of the premises.
The care service will operate Monday to Friday between the times of 7.00 and 9.00 and 15:00 and 19.00 during term time and Monday to Friday between the times of 7.00 and 19.00 during school holidays.
Adult: child ratios will be a minimum of:
1:8 if the children attend more than 4 hours per day or 1:10 if the children attend for less than 4 hours per day If all children are 8 years old and over 1:10.
