1. By 27 November 2026, the provider must ensure that people can be confident that standards of good practice are adhered to and drives change and improvement where necessary. To do this the provider must, as a minimum: a) develop a quality assurance system which provides assurance and governance; b) ensure that quality assurance checks and audits are consistently completed; c) where areas for improvement are identified, develop an action plan; and d) evaluate audit completion and outcomes. This is to comply with Regulation 4(1)(a) (Welfare of users) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I benefit from a culture of continuous improveme1. By 27 November 2026, the provider must ensure delivery of good quality, accessible induction and ongoing development opportunities to support staff to carry out their role safely and effectively. To do this the provider must, at a minimum: a) ensure staff have completed training covering all key areas of care delivery practice before delivering care to people; b) verify the content of training provided by external agencies and where this cannot be verified or is not to an acceptable standard, make arrangements for staff to complete required training and refresher courses; c) provide effective and competency observations, regular supervision that enables staff to develop, and improve practice through reflection and feedback; and d) support staff to meet and maintain their conditions of registration and the requirement for continuous professional learning and development. This is to comply with Section 8(1)(a) of the Health and Care (Sta1. By 27 November 2026, the provider must ensure each person has a personal plan and set out how all their care and support needs will be met. To do this the provider must, at a minimum, ensure that: a) personal plans clearly describe the support each person needs, how this will be delivered, and reflect their choices, wishes, and preferences; b) risk assessments cover all relevant areas of risk, provide clear guidance for staff on managing and minimising risk, and directly inform the personal plan; c) personal plans are reviewed at least every six months, or sooner if there is a significant change in the person's health, welfare, or safety needs; and d) people have access to a copy of their personal plan in a format that suits their needs. This is to comply with Regulation 5(1) and (2) (Personal Plans) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210).
1. To support people's health and safety, the provider should ensure that all accidents and incidents are properly managed. This should include, but not be limited to, implementing a system to regularly monitor, review, and learn from any accident/incidents and ensure notifications are made to the Care Inspectorate in accordance with Care Inspectorate guidance 'Adult care services: Guidance on records that you must keep and notifications you must make'. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I benefit from a culture of continuous improvement, with the organisation having robust and transparent quality assurance processes' (HSCS 4.19).
Conditions of registration
1. The service will be provided to people living in their own homes (care at home).
2. The service is available 24 hours a day.
3. The Care Commission requires to be notified if the staffing level in the branch as detailed in the notice
granting registration increases or decreases by 10%.
4. Before supporting any service user to take medicines a policy and procedure including a system of
recording this support requires to be in place.
5. The service will notify service users of the conditions of registration the name of the named Manager
of the service the name and address of the registered service and the Care Commission contact
details.
