1. By 30 September 2026, the provider must ensure that suitably qualified and competent staff are deployed in sufficient numbers to meet the health, wellbeing and safety needs of children. To do this, the provider must, at a minimum: a) ensure that all staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), where required. b) ensure that staff have access to appropriate induction, training and ongoing professional development to support them in their role. This is in order to comply with Section 7(1)(a) of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: "I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes" (HSCS 3.14).
Conditions of registration
To provide a care service to a maximum of 35 secondary school aged children up to 16 years with additional support needs at any one time.
From 23 March 2026 until 31 March 2028 12 children may be cared for aged 16 years up until they reach their 18th birthday. Numbers must not exceed 35 at any one time.
The service can operate between the times of 3:00pm to 7:00pm during term time and from 9:00am to 4:00pm during school holiday periods.
Children may also be accommodated at Beatroute Arts Centre 285 Wallacewell Rd Glasgow G21 3RP where they will have exclusive use of the premises.
The Easter and Summer playschemes will operate at: Keppoch Campus 65 Stonyhurst Street Glasgow G22 5AX.
Staffing ratios will be based on assessment of the needs of individual children and young people.
