Rise and Shine

1. To support children's care, learning and development, the provider should ensure children's personal plans are reviewed and updated with parents in line with legislation. Individual next steps and how these will be supported in the service should be discussed, agreed and recorded. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which states that: "My personal plan (sometimes referred to as a care plan) is right for me because it sets out how my needs will be met, as well as my wishes and choices" (HSCS 1.15).

1. To support children's health, safety and wellbeing, effective hand hygiene procedures and infection prevention and control guidance should be consistently followed. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which states that: "I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice" (HSCS 4.11).
