1. By the 01 January 2026, the childminder must ensure that personal plans are in place for every child. Personal plans must clearly set out how the service will meet each child's health, welfare and safety needs. Plans must be reviewed with parents at least every six months, or sooner if a child's needs change, to ensure information remains current and supports consistent, responsive care. This is to comply with Regulations 4(1)(a) and 5(1) & (2) of the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'My personal plan (sometimes referred to as a care plan) is right for me because it sets out how my needs will be met, as well as my wishes and choices' (HSCS 1.15).
1. The childminder should increase her knowledge of the SHANARRI wellbeing indicators to ensure that children experience care and support that promotes their wellbeing. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'My care and support meets my needs and is right for me (HSCS 1.19).
