1. To ensure that people are supported to live in a secure and safe environment, environmental safety checks should be planned and carried out at required intervals. This is to ensure the service is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'my environment is secure and safe' (HSCS 5.17).1. To support people's health and wellbeing and improve the quality of their support, the provider should review and update care plan with the person and their relatives/representative at least once in every six month or earlier if circumstances change. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘My care and support meets my needs and is right for me.’ (HSCS 1.19)

2. To support people who experience stress and distress, care plans should be improved to ensure that staff have all the information necessary to support them in a way that is dignified, informed and sensitive to their individual needs and preferences. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘My care and support meets my needs and is right for me.’ (HSCS 1.19)
