1. To ensure children's health needs are met, the provider should improve medication processes to ensure relevant information is gathered to administer medicine safely. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring reason for medication is recorded and medication is regularly reviewed with parents. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state that "Any treatment or intervention that I experience is safe and effective." (HSCS 1.24)
1. To support children's health and wellbeing, the provider should make improvements to the toilet and changing facilities for children to protect their privacy and dignity. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social care Standards (HSCS) which state: "If I require intimate care, this is carried out in a dignified way, with my privacy and preferences respected." (HSCS 1.4).
