Recommendation 1
1. To support children's safety and wellbeing, the childminder should ensure that meal times are well planned and meet up to date guidance. This should include but not be limited to: children sit down to eat in an unhurried manner children are effectively supervised children of all ages are encouraged to dink water. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I can enjoy unhurried snack and meal times in as relaxed an atmosphere as possible' (HSCS 1.35) and 'I can drink fresh water at all times' (HSCS 1.39).
